UK MoD is taking the lead to advance Next Generation Medium Rotorcraft (NGRC) for European NATO militaries. The program is targeting development of transport/assault medium lift helicopters for 2030-2040’s, replacing over 1,000 airframes such as Blackhawks, AW101, NH90 Mi-17/8.
The NGRC is seen as parallel (competition?) to US Army’s Future Vertical Lift FVL program.
